Camping.

I went to REI yesterday, the flagship store in a restored 1901 Denver Tramway building, and breathed in the outdoor adventure air. Just a glimpse of a backpack and hiking boots gets me all excited!

Fresh air. The sounds of nature. Starry skies. Dirt. Grass. Trees. I'm ready.

This just made me laugh.

Heavenly.

Favorite album at the moment. So uplifting. So true. So raw.

I'm looking forward to listening to this over and over again while road-tripping from California to Colorado. Perfect music to meditate on His face throughout the summer spent amidst His creation and beauty.

Activism through the story.

I'm leaving for the Dominican Republic tomorrow in the a.m. and I was inspired when I stumbled upon this TOMS blog entry. The power of the pen is just as powerful as the tongue when telling a story that touches the heart.

Upcoming adventure.

My wanderlust is finally getting answered! In about a week I'm flying to the Dominican Republic to write the stories and photograph the people. I. Can't. Wait.

Some friends and I went to Pasadena this weekend for a conference and, even though it was cloudy, spring had sprung in full force with beautiful tall trees. Something is growing.
